Abstract

The Open Source Software movement, with Linux being the most visible example of the numerous "free software" packages, has been gathering increased attention recently. But what are Linux and the Open Source Movement really about? What are the advantages of th Open Source philosophy of software creation, and is it truly "free?" These questions, and others, will be addressed during this presentation.
