Abstract

This presentation will discuss Rosetta Dissemination Information Packages (DIPs) and how they can be made available to Primo to harvest and index. Since Rosetta does not have an enduser discovery layer, Binghamton University Libraries use Primo for endusers to search for content preserved in Rosetta. Where Rosetta ends and where Primo begins can be confusing for people not familiar with the underlying architecture, yet understanding how Rosetta and Primo interact can help librarians make the best decisions for indexing and displaying Metadata in Primo. While this presentation will focus on Rosetta and Primo, it is hoped that the concepts presented will be useful regardless of the underlying systems.
